Aluminium Monocoque Body
Luxury cars are often made with aluminium because of its light weight, durability, and strength. This material is not only strong enough to withstand tough conditions, but it also offers excellent fuel efficiency due to its lightweight nature.
Aluminum is more expensive than steel and has typically been used for high-end vehicles like the Acura NSX, BMW i8, Mercedes-Benz SL-Class, Jaguar XJ, Tesla Model S 60, and other luxury cars. In 2015, Ford began making the Ford F-150 with a primarily aluminium body
Now, Harvok® is proud to offer aluminum caravans that provide the same benefits as luxury cars. Using aluminum to build a caravan means it will be more superior to those made with traditional materials, as it will be lighter, more durable, and have a longer lifespan. Harvok® - Monocoque Caravan
What is Monocoque?
Monocoque structure uses the exterior shell of a structure to provide strength and support, instead of relying on an internal frame. This construction technique creates a cohesive and seamless unit capable of bearing weight and loads.
Caravans built with monocoque construction are more durable and resistant to issues like water leaks and squeaks when compared to other construction techniques like timber framing, aluminium framing, and composite panel construction. These techniques involve joining separate components together which may require sealant materials, leading to potential issues over time.
Monocoque caravans offer improved durability by eliminating joints and the need for sealant materials. This structure is strong, lightweight, and efficient, making it increasingly popular in recent years as the demand for high-quality and durable caravans has grown.
