PATENTED. PURPOSE-BUILT. PROVEN.
BUILT AROUND 48V FROM DAY ONE.
Harvok did not take a conventional 12V caravan and add a larger battery. The entire electrical architecture was engineered around 48V from the beginning—allowing the battery, solar, tow-vehicle charging, inverter and onboard appliances to operate as one coordinated platform.
Protected by Australian Innovation Patent 2021100401, this Harvok-developed technology was created specifically for our all-electric caravans.
Refined through years of development, testing and real-world owner travel, the system delivers dependable off-grid power with the simplicity and everyday comfort customers expect at home.
Take the comforts of home to places that feel worlds away.

How the system works
Three Ways to Keep Moving
01
Solar energy
Roof-mounted solar captures available sunlight while the caravan is at camp or in transit.
02
Tow-vehicle charging
High-output charging replenishes the system while travelling, subject to the tow vehicle and installed configuration.
03
External power
When available, mains power can charge the battery system and supply the caravan.

Why Harvok chose 48V
More Power. Less Current. Designed as One System.
For an equivalent power demand, a 48V architecture uses approximately one-quarter of the electrical current required by a 12V system. Lower current can reduce resistive losses and heat while allowing more efficient delivery of power to high-demand equipment.
Harvok plans the battery storage, solar generation, tow charging, inverter and control system together from the beginning. This integrated approach helps create a power system designed around the complete caravan rather than added as an afterthought.

Powering Real Journeys Around Australia
From remote weekends to extended journeys around Australia, Harvok owners are using their electric systems to spend more time away from powered sites while retaining the comforts that matter to them.
The full lap
Built for the Weekend. Ready for the Full Lap.
Whether the plan is a quiet weekend away or an extended journey around Australia, the Harvok 48V system is designed to help travellers stay longer, move more freely and rely less on powered-site infrastructure.
Solar replenishes the system at camp. Tow-vehicle charging supports the journey between destinations. Lithium storage keeps energy available for the moments in between.
The result is not simply more battery capacity. It is greater freedom to choose where the road takes you next.
FAQ
Your 48V Questions, Answered
What is a 48V caravan electrical system?
A 48V caravan electrical system stores and distributes power at 48 volts rather than the 12 volts used in traditional caravan systems. For an equivalent power demand, a 48V architecture uses approximately one-quarter of the electrical current of a 12V system, which can reduce resistive losses and heat and suit high-demand appliances. Harvok plans the battery, solar, charging and control system together as one integrated system.
What appliances can I use in a Harvok caravan?
Harvok’s system is designed to support induction cooking, air conditioning, compressor refrigeration, coffee machines, kettles, microwaves, washing machines and everyday electronics such as laptops, phones and televisions. Which appliances are fitted depends on the model’s specification, and appliances are best used within the system’s available capacity and with responsible energy use. Not every appliance can run at the same time.
How long can a Harvok stay off-grid?
There is no fixed number of days. Off-grid duration depends on battery capacity, solar availability, weather, appliance use, temperature and individual travel habits. A Harvok consultant can help you match battery and solar capacity to the way you plan to travel.
Does the system recharge while towing?
Yes. Harvok’s 48V system supports high-output tow-vehicle charging, with charging of up to 1200W. The actual charging performance depends on the tow vehicle and the selected system configuration.
Can solar fully recharge the batteries?
Solar contributes to recharging the batteries, but how much depends on the size of the solar system, your location, the season, panel conditions, shade and weather. Roof-mounted solar is designed to replenish the system at camp and while travelling, and can be supplemented by tow-vehicle charging or external power when available.
Do Harvok caravans need LPG?
Harvok caravans are designed as gas-free, all-electric caravans, with cooking by induction cooktop rather than LPG. Please refer to the individual model specification for full inclusions.
What is the difference between the Full Off-Road and Semi Off-Road power systems?
Full Off-Road models come standard with a 10kWh 48V lithium battery and 960W of roof-mounted solar, and can be upgraded to 15kWh of storage and 1440W of solar. Semi Off-Road models come standard with a 5kWh 48V lithium battery and 480W of roof-mounted solar, with upgrade options of 10kWh or 15kWh of storage and 960W or 1440W of solar. Available upgrades depend on model and configuration.
Can the power system run the air conditioner off-grid?
Compatible configurations can support air-conditioning use off-grid, but how long it can run depends heavily on conditions, settings, battery state and other loads in use at the time. Larger battery and solar capacities give you more flexibility.
Can I customise the battery and solar capacity?
Yes, upgrade pathways are available for battery storage and roof-mounted solar, subject to the model and configuration you choose. Your Harvok consultant can explain the options for the model you are considering.
How do I choose the right power system?
Start with how you travel. Discuss your travel habits, the appliances you want to use, your destinations and how long you expect to stay off-grid with a Harvok consultant, who can recommend a model and power configuration to suit.
